This single cask is a departure from the official 18 year old, which is darker in colour and big on first and second-fill sherry. A nutty, biscuity nose develops with pear drops and cream while the medium-sweet delivery offers good depth in a pure, elegant, feminine and delicately fruity malt that finishes with rising spices and a drying aftertaste. Sans sherry, it's fairly understated but provides a rare insight into the Tamdhu style. 300 bottles are on offer. 49.1% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Distilled in 2003, and bottled in 2021 this single cask of 18 year old Tamdhu Speyside single malt Scotch whisky is a truly special release in honour of the Scottish National Rugby Team! Expect aromas of buttery malt, marzipan and honey. The palate has notes of toffee, oak spice and wafts of fresh nectarines in the mouth with a spicy cinnamon finish.
