Heirloom Vineyards Chardonnay was produced from their best Adelaide Hills Vineyard. The clones and viticulture embody the very best in cutting edge but old school viticulture and winemaking. Hand tended vines, sorted bunch by bunch, naturally fermented free run juice, gently tank pressed and stored (85%) in French oak barriques (30% new) for 9 months with malolactic fermentation.

COLOUR: Gently viscous. Pale gold in colour mixed with straw and hay hues. Bright.

AROMA: Minerals, lemon meringue, custard, wet river pebbles, newly-baled straw, marzipan, white stone fruits. The aromaticity and the bouquet are complex, deeply engaging, and beguiling.

PALATE: Acidity and length, put simply. Yet around and within that there are nectarine and white peach flavours. Royal Gala apple skin crunch and grip, particularly at the front palate. Mid palate is all stone fruits followed by a loooooong finish. With searing and puckering acidity lingering and drawing out the texture and flavour of the wine in a sustained, trailing, over-the-horizon manner.
