An early picked 3-way blend, consisting 90% Pinot Gris, 6% Chardonnay and 4% Gewurztraminer. Light orange tinged from skin contact, this Gris blend displays nashi pear, tangerine and squeezed citrus. There’s musk florals and baked apple spice, providing the tiny amount of Gewurztraminer ‘pride of place’ in the blend. Not a rich, powerful Gris by any stretch, this is more elegant in style. Being early picked and showing only moderate alcohol, there’s fine bones and lovely mineral acid keeping the wine upright and tangy. But there’s waxy texture and mouthfeel aplenty from skin contact, solids and secondary fermentation - all supporting delicate fruit to a fine, savoury finish.
