Seppeltsfield Vermentino was sourced from the Northern side of the Barossa. Due to its natural fruit bearing vigour, the Vermentino vines were shoot-thinned, allowing for balanced yields of high quality bunches.

Vermentino is only in its relative infancy in Australian soils. The variety’s traditional home being the Italian island of Sardinia, as well as the Ligurian coast. It has great potential in Australia, given it’s ability to ripen well in warm climates, low water requirement and an ability to maintain good levels of acidity.

Lifted nose of verbena, pot pourri, violets and lime leaf, a powerful citrus palate with enticing notes of pear and grapefruit. A fine structural mineral acid backbone.
